At Blackthorn we are committed to identifying compelling values that we believe will generate attractive returns on capital over the long term. 

Our basic investment approach is rooted in careful research, the understanding of macro trends, diversification and asset allocation. Low investment costs are essential to long term investing success.

We build portfolios that use low cost passively managed mutual funds and exchange traded funds(ETF’s). We place a high value on diversification as one of our basic investing tenants and primary weapons in the art of investing. It is through the use of index funds, ETF’s and asset allocation that we seek to achieve our goals.

Blackthorn focuses primarily on macro trends (political, economic and market trends) and company level data. These are the primary elements of our investing process.
